As the leaves begin to change color and the sweet scent of pumpkin spice lattes fills the air, it's made abundantly clear that the fall season has officially begun. To commemorate this glorious time of year, people are tattooing the wonderfully warm beauty of nature, rich in autumnal themes, on their skin.

Many choose to capture the brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges of the leaves—and they do so in a variety of artistic styles, including abstract forms, watercolor washes, and traditional designs with thick outlines. Other fall enthusiasts depict the exquisite charm of the season with colorless tattoos that instead accentuate the delicate lines found in the veins of leaves or the patterns of pine cones. And some even find inspiration in animals, with woodland creatures like owls, foxes, and bats making adorable appearances.

In each case, it's clear that some autumn-inspired ink is the perfect way to celebrate the season.
